Please note that while our suspension base formula remains consistent and is sourced from the same manufacturer, there may be slight batch-to-batch variations in appearance. Some batches may display a more pronounced violet hue than others, which is most noticeable in the bottle or container it arrives in. Once glitter or pigments are mixed into the base, however, it will appear clear.

The violet hue is due to the addition of Violet #2, which counteracts yellowing that can occur over time. This visible color variation is influenced by the regional origin of the cellulose used in the base. Certain types of cellulose are more prone to yellowing, so adding Violet #2 helps maintain clarity. In cases where the cellulose resists yellowing naturally, the violet tint is more noticeable.

Our suspension bases are "21-Free," vegan, and cruelty-free. No changes have been made to the formula—it has always been 21-Free.

'21-Free' means there is no animal products, toluene, benzene, xylene, formaldehyde releaser, formaldehyde resin, phtalates, cyclic silicones, camphor, MEK, glycol ethers of series E, HQ, MEHQ, TPP, nonylphenol ethoxylated, Tert-Butyl hydroperoxyde, chromium oxide greens, bismuth oxychloride, CMR, synthetic fragrance, ethyl tosylamide.
